Job summary

Opportunities for Williamson & Burnet Counties is seeking a Substitute Teacher to support Head Start curriculum planning and classroom activities. You will report to the Center Director and work under supervision while helping plan daily activities and assess children’s needs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, confidentiality, and respectful communication with families, staff, and visitors. Training opportunities and a collaborative, community-focused environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.
• Adult and Pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to work with others and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and follow safety policy.
• Assist with planning and daily activities.
• Greet visitors and provide reception services.
• Support implementation of Individual Education Plans in class.
• Communicate with parents about daily experiences.
• Maintain clean and safe classroom and play areas.
• Attend professional development as requested.
