Job summary

Northwest Eye Care Professionals in Oregon is seeking a Lead Optician to oversee the Optical department, mentor staff, and ensure exceptional patient care. The role includes supervising daily operations and coordinating with physicians to deliver accurate eyewear solutions.

You will assist patients with eyewear selection, fitting, and adjustments, interpret prescriptions, and explain lens options, coatings, and materials to match vision needs and lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Licensed Optician with leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients in selecting frames and lenses based on prescription, lifestyle, and personal preferences.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise opticians and technicians, fostering a knowledgeable, collaborative, and service-oriented team.
• Take accurate measurements for pupillary distance, lens placement, and frame adjustments.
• Interpret prescriptions and recommend appropriate lens designs and materials.
• Ensure proper fitting, adjustments, and repairs to eyewear.
