Job summary

Clay, an in-person first company with offices in San Francisco, New York, and London, is seeking a Workplace Experience Lead to own and elevate our HQ operations in New York. You will shape a world-class workplace for 250+ Claymates, balancing hospitality, culture, and operational excellence.

You’ll drive strategic planning, vendor management, and space utilization for the 160,000 sq ft flagship, coordinating moves, safety compliance, and budget stewardship while partnering with global teams.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years of workplace/facilities experience with 250+ people
• Experience leading large-scale office moves
• Experience managing 100,000+ sq ft spaces

Responsibilities

• Own all workplace operations for Clay HQ, including facilities management and space planning
• Lead the NYC workplace team and establish best practices
• Oversee facility operations across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance
• Manage landlord and vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
• Plan space utilization and coordinate moves/reconfigurations for future growth
• Lead seating plans for 250+ people and set office norms
• Ensure health, safety, ADA compliance and emergency planning
• Manage the workplace experience budget and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Drive culture and community through events and initiatives
