Job summary

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans in Dallas, TX seeks a Growth & Development Manager for Virtual Advice - Hybrid to lead a local team of nationally licensed advisors delivering advice-based recommendations and deepening client relationships across all 50 states.

You will coach, train, and align the team with organizational goals, manage performance against budgets, and collaborate with field leadership, HR, and compliance to drive sales growth while maintaining top-tier client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
• Prior financial advisor experience with multiple years leading a team of eight or more.
• Eligible for Securities and Insurance licensing in all states and DC; FINRA licenses preferred and must be obtained within 120 days.
• Experience in financial planning, investment and insurance products with consultative sales models.
• Ability to lead change in a fast-paced environment and collaborate to achieve results.
• Client-centric mindset aligned with the organization’s values and mission.
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, and a positive, empathetic demeanor.
• Experience working in a virtual or hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Build local market culture and integrate virtual advice advisors into the market.
• Coach on-site and virtually to enhance consultative sales skills and advisory effectiveness.
• Lead by example with case work and client calls to supervise and elevate performance.
• Drive business planning and manage performance against budgets and objectives.
• Interviews, hires, and aligns staff with team staffing plans.
• Deliver onboarding and training to accelerate productivity.
• Provide ongoing feedback to improve client experience and service models.
• Implement the organization’s advice strategy with consistent practice management.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive engagement, retention, and sales growth.
• Coordinate with virtual leadership, HR, and other departments to support target attainment.
