Job summary

NewAge Products Inc. seeks a Director of Transportation to lead outbound freight, exceptions, and reverse logistics across its logistics network. The role blends hands-on analytics with strategic carrier management, budget ownership, and team leadership to improve service, cost, and quality across the network.

Travel to Canada/US as needed. The ideal candidate has deep experience with AI-enabled tools, strong data analytics skills, and a track record of leading senior-level strategic initiatives

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML tools to solve operational problems.
• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5+ years direct experience in North American ground transportation (3PL or similar).
• Experience managing exceptions, claims, or reverse logistics/returns.
• Proficiency with data analytics/BI tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
• 5+ years in e-commerce, supply chain, or logistics.
• 5+ years leadership experience, incl. leading virtual teams.
• Proven track record leading senior-level strategy initiatives.
• Strong technical aptitude with new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the transportation and reverse-logistics strategy.
• Design and optimize outbound carrier network and footprint.
• Lead capacity planning for outbound transportation and returns processing.
• Identify automation and technology investments (TMS, routing/optimization, BI).
• Drive continuous improvement across transportation, exceptions, and returns.
• Oversee parcel, LTL, FTL, intermodal, and home delivery experience.
• Drive OTIF performance and carrier scorecards.
• Manage freight budget planning and cost reduction initiatives.
• Lead managers across outbound transport, exceptions, and returns.
• Build succession planning and talent development programs.
