Job summary

NewAge Products is seeking a Director of Transportation to lead outbound freight, exceptions, and reverse logistics. You will own carrier strategy, OTIF performance, and returns processing while partnering with cross-functional teams to drive service, cost, and quality.

This analytically minded leader uses AI-enabled tools and data dashboards to shape network design and budget decisions, builds a high-performing team, and guides ongoing optimization across transportation, exceptions, and returns.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML-based tools to solve operational problems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, supply chain, logistics, or data analytics.
• 5+ years of direct experience in North American ground transportation, in a 3PL or similar setting.
• Proven experience managing exceptions, claims, or reverse logistics/returns.
• Proficiency with data analytics and BI tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Network Optimization: Develop and execute transportation and reverse-logistics strategy aligned to growth objectives; design and optimize outbound carrier footprint; oversee capacity planning and infrastructure scaling.
• Exceptions Management: Own resolution and root-cause analysis of shipment and fulfillment exceptions; limit liability from claims and damages.
• Reverse Logistics & Returns: Develop optimized returns workflows; reduce cycle times and recovery losses; analyze root causes with cross-functional teams.
• Data, Analytics & AI-Enabled Performance: Use AI/ML tools to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy; drive data-based decisions and dashboarding; own P&L and budget for outbound transport, exceptions, and returns.
