Job summary

NewAge Products Inc. seeks a Director of Transportation to lead outbound freight, exceptions, and reverse logistics.

This role owns carrier strategy, OTIF, and returns processing, collaborating with Warehousing & Inbound and cross-functional teams to improve service, cost, and quality across the network. It is an analytically-led position requiring hands-on data analytics and AI-enabled tools to shape network decisions, forecast expenses, and drive performance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML tools to real operational problems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.
• 5+ years in North American ground transportation, 3PL or similar.
• Experience managing exceptions, claims, or reverse logistics.
• Proficient with data analytics and BI tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
• 5+ years in e-commerce, supply chain, operations, or logistics.
• 5+ years of proven leadership leading virtual distributed teams.
• Track record leading senior-level strategy initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transportation and reverse-logistics strategy aligned to growth.
• Design and optimize outbound carrier and network footprint.
• Lead capacity planning and infrastructure scaling for outbound and returns.
• Identify automation and technology investments (TMS, routing, BI).
• Drive continuous improvement across transportation, exceptions, and returns.
• Oversee parcel, LTL, FTL, intermodal, and home-delivery experiences.
• Drive OTIF performance and carrier scorecards; negotiate rates.
• Lead management of budgets and P&L for outbound, exceptions, and returns.
• Build and develop a high-performing team; succession planning.
