Job summary

Teton County's Fire/EMS Department seeks a Division Chief of Training & Wildfire to supervise all training activities for structure fire suppression, EMS, and wildfire response. The role directs personnel, ensures readiness, and oversees incident command during emergencies.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, extensive fire service certifications, and the ability to manage complex training programs while maintaining department policies and public trust.

Qualifications

• Associate19s degree in Fire Science, and five years as a Captain, preferably with JHFEMS.
• Wyoming Driver19s License Class B; Fire Officer II; Fire Instructor II; Live Fire Instructor; EMT 12 Basic Wyoming Licensure; NWCG Task Force Leader; NIMS IC-400.
• Knowledge of state and national certification procedures, policies, and regulations governing emergency services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and conducts department training and education activities, including certification courses and monthly training.
• Manages wildfire readiness and deployments as Wildfire Coordinator, organizing personnel and resources and ensuring proper documentation.
• Acts as incident commander for emergency service calls and coordinates member responses; serves as Deputy Chief in leadership absence.
