Job summary

Roaring Fork Fire Rescue is seeking a Division Chief of Emergency Medical Services to lead EMS policy, training, and quality assurance. The role focuses on Medical Rescue, Pre-Hospital Care, and Public Health programs while ensuring staff maintain required certifications and meet state and national standards.

Location options include Stations 42 in El Jebel or Station 45 in Snowmass Village. A bachelor’s degree is preferred; seven years in fire/EMS with leadership is required, plus a robust set

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher; bachelor’s preferred in fire science, EMS, fire admin, business or public admin.
  • 7+ years in fire service and EMS, with 2+ years in leadership.
  • Must possess Colorado Paramedic certification or license within 30 days.
  • NRP certification within 90 days; Firefighter II certification; Hazmat Ops cert.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days; BLS Provider or equivalent.
  • ICS 100, 200, 300, 700, 800 certifications; 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement EMS policies and procedures.
  • Oversee Medical Rescue, Pre-Hospital Care, QA and Public Health Programs.
  • Ensure EMS personnel training meets state and national standards.
