Job summary
Cache County Fire Department in Utah is seeking an Assistant Chief of EMS/Training to lead and oversee the district's emergency medical services and training programs. This full-time, salaried, benefited role includes overseeing certification, continuing education, regulatory compliance, and may participate as a command officer during incidents.

Qualifications
- Education and experience: High School Diploma or GED and 10 years EMS experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Licensing/certifications required at appointment: Utah Paramedic and/or National Registry Paramedic; Firefighter II; HazMat Ops; Fire Instructor I; Fire Officer I; ICS 100/200/300/400; IS 700/800; EMS Instructor certification; CPR; valid driver's license; NWCG Red Card within 1 year if not held.
Responsibilities
- Supervises personnel and coordinates EMS/Training programs.
- Oversees certification and continuing education; supports regulatory compliance and quality improvement.
- May respond to incidents as a command officer.
