Job summary

Liberty County Georgia Government is seeking an Assistant Fire Chief of Training to lead the Training Division of the Fire Rescue Department and to ensure training aligns with state and national standards.

The role covers developing curricula, scheduling courses, supervising trainers, and coordinating reporting to authorities. The incumbent may act as Deputy Fire Chief when needed and will respond to emergencies as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• More than four years of related experience.
• Valid Georgia Class E driver's license.
• Certifications: NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800; EOC/ICS Interface; BLS and BLS Instructor; NFPA Fire Officer levels; Public Information Officer.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees the training division within the Fire Rescue Department.
• Develops and evaluates training classes and materials.
• Schedules training and maintains records; reports to authorities as required.
• Trains personnel and leads drills; drafts equipment specifications.
