About MIRA Wellness Club

MIRA Wellness Club is a members-only wellness club opening in central Chennai in early 2027. Members get coached strength and conditioning training, in-house physiotherapy, a partner nutritionist and a café. There are separate recovery floors for women and men, each with a sauna and cold plunges. Our members are busy professionals who want training, recovery and health care in one place. The service standard is closer to a fine hotel than a gym. Chennai is our first club. We plan to open in more Indian cities over the coming years.

The role

You own how every member at MIRA is trained. MIRA runs on a written training method: how we assess a new member, how we programme strength and conditioning, and how a coach speaks to a tired professional at 7 PM. You lead that method and build the coaching team. You are accountable for member results. This is a founding role at the same level as the General Manager. The General Manager runs the club. You run the training floor.

What you will do
Before opening
  • Take ownership of the MIRA training method. A detailed draft exists. You refine it with the founder until you can defend every part of it.
  • Hire the founding coaching team with the founder: Training Directors and coaches. You run the technical screening.
  • Design coach onboarding. Half of it is technical. The other half is how we treat members.
  • Set the assessment standard for new members, including the health questions that decide when we say "see a doctor first".
  • Work with the Head Physiotherapist on where training ends and physiotherapy begins.
After opening
  • Own member results: strength, fitness and body composition, measured and reviewed on a fixed schedule.
  • Check member training plans before they reach the member.
  • Run weekly education for the coaching team.
  • Own training safety, including injury escalations and medical clearance.
  • Spend most of your day on the training floor.
Who we are looking for
  • 8 or more years of coaching, including time leading or training other coaches.
  • A sports science or exercise physiology degree, or a strong international strength and conditioning certification.
  • Experience coaching working professionals as well as athletes. Most of our members are the first group.
  • You enjoy building other coaches as much as coaching members.
  • You base your programmes on research evidence.
  • Fluent English.

We especially want to hear from women. Many of our women members will prefer a woman coach or therapist, and our women's recovery floor needs women on the team.

Pay
  • Monthly pay ₹1.65L to ₹2.6L (cost to company), depending on experience.
  • Performance bonus Tied to member results and retention. Never tied to sales.
  • Profit share We plan to share club profit with the team. Details are in the offer.
