Job summary

ON.energy is seeking a Director of Systems Engineering, R&D to lead our Systems Engineering team and translate product strategy into verifiable system solutions. You will establish governance across architecture, requirements, interfaces, and risk, driving capability development for grid-scale storage, UPS, and advanced power quality products from concept through field deployment.

You will guide architecture decisions, resolve cross-disciplinary conflicts, and ensure traceable design transfer

Qualifications

• 12+ years in complex power, energy, industrial, or electromechanical product development.
• Proven success leading systems engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience delivering products from concept to field deployment and production release.
• Direct experience with grid-scale BESS, power conversion, UPS, or related hardware preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Systems Engineering team and governance across architecture, requirements, interfaces, and design transfer.
• Define lifecycle processes for concept definition, verification, and risk management.
• Guide system architectures for grid-scale energy storage, UPS, and power quality products.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews and ensure traceability from requirements to validation.
