Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in Cleveland is seeking a Systems Development Engineering Manager to oversee design, development, and support of enterprise IT systems, including production apps and integrations, aligning with strategic initiatives and lifecycle governance.

You will lead hybrid teams, balance architectural input with delivery, and mentor staff while driving 24/7 production support, incident triage, and modernization efforts across on-prem and cloud ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT; alternative: 10+ years IT experience
• 7+ years IT experience including 3+ years managing direct reports
• 7+ years software engineering or app development with leadership experience
• Proven ability to manage hybrid onshore/offshore teams and workload balance
• Experience with 24/7 production support, incident triage and resolution
• Experience with integration patterns and API-driven architectures
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile delivery, and DevOps practices
• Strong stakeholder communication across business and IT functions

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems
• Set objectives, policies, and performance expectations for teams
• Balance business needs with technical debt and production support
