Job summary

F5 is seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager to lead the SE team within the F5 Tech vertical, focusing on technical sales and ensuring the organization meets company goals. You will set objectives, manage staffing, and guide strategy to align with customer needs and market trends.

The role requires building a scalable SE organization, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with HR and sales to drive success and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree required or relevant work experience.
• A number of years' experience managing technical SEs in a management role.
• Thorough understanding of networking technologies and applications delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technologies.

Responsibilities

• Uphold F5’s Business Code of Ethics and report violations.
• Manage SE team: evaluations, PTO, assignments, training, performance plans.
• Define core FY objectives, strategy and priorities for Engineers in the SE team.
• Plan headcounts quarterly/yearly with management to scale the SE org.
• Recruitment collaboration with HR.
• Develop and maintain an effective SE partner plan with PS, support, Marketing, PM, etc.
• Scale SE org to meet objectives and career development.
• Drive market trends communication to PM, PD, etc.
• Ensure customer focus and drive product requirements and business units.
• Provide product feasibility analysis in support of sales efforts.
