Job summary

Gong is seeking a Solution Engineering Leader to build and lead a high-performing, customer-focused team that demonstrates the value of the Gong platform. You will recruit, mentor, and empower Sales Engineers, partner with sales and product teams, and drive revenue outcomes.

This hybrid role involves overseeing training on new features, optimizing workflows, and aligning with Product Marketing and Enablement. The target OTE is $255,000-$300,000 USD, with location-based compensation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading high-performing sales engineering teams.
• 10+ years of sales engineering experience.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop talent.
• Experience building teams from ground up and direct deal involvement.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and trust-building.
• GTM workflow understanding and business acumen.
• Experience with sales tech and data flows, AI/ML concepts, APIs, JSON.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a customer-focused, high-performing sales engineering team and communicate business value of Gong.
• Recruit, mentor, and empower Sales Engineers to maximize potential and meet goals.
• Train team on new features, processes, and collateral to enable continuous learning.
• Foster collaboration with Sales and other teams to drive revenue growth.
• Develop streamlined processes and collateral to support the team and stakeholder engagement.
• Optimize workflows by collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Product to ensure smooth deals.
• Build strong relationships with Product Marketing, Enablement, Operations, and Engineering and exercise sound judgment.
• Uphold company culture and Operating Principles in daily practice.
