Job summary

Hong Kong Housing Society seeks a capable manager to help establish objectives and policies for estate-based social support programmes and elderly lounges, aligning with the organization’s mission. The role includes supervising service teams, coordinating with external partners, and ensuring compliance with project standards and corporate guidelines.

The candidate will oversee administration, staff matters, and multiple projects, including events and management papers for approvals.

Qualifications

• Degree holder or above in Social Work and/or Health Science.
• Minimum 8 years’ post-qualification experience in Government or related organizations, NGOs or public organizations.
• Experience in managing service teams and community projects is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Manager (Social & Elderly Wellness) to establish the operational objectives, plans and policies for the estate-based social support programmes and elderly lounges in alignment with the corporate objectives.
• Assist in managing the overall administration and staffing matters of the service teams in accordance with the policies and financial targets laid down by the Housing Society.
• Smoothen the service delivery by liaising with external parties and making alliances with strategic partners to expedite service development.
• Efficiently and effectively manage designated projects, award presentations, working groups, ceremonies, and events.
• Support the overall preparation works and prepare presentation materials and draft papers for management’s approval on significant executions.
• Handle emergency accidents, crisis, and/or complaints from staff, customers, and external parties.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor deemed appropriate.
