Job summary

Wheels Up is seeking a Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to lead the SEC reporting function and manage Form 10-K and 10-Q processes. The role requires deep US GAAP and SEC regulatory knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and a strong track record in technical accounting research.

The candidate will mentor a team of accounting professionals and work with Investor Relations and Legal to prepare press releases, earnings materials, and related SEC filings.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of public accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Active CPA license
• Proven track record in technical accounting research and memos
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Research and document technical accounting issues and memos.
• Review material contracts for accounting implications.
• Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and pronouncements.
• Manage the SEC reporting calendar and ensure filings are on time.
• Oversee XBRL tagging and ensure disclosures are complete and accurate.
• Coordinate internal and external reviews of SEC filings with auditors and tax.
• Lead interim reviews and annual audits with external auditors.
