Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Head of Science Operations to partner with the CSO and Science Leadership Team, translating the Science Team vision into clear priorities and tangible impact across the organization. The role requires scientific depth, strategic thinking, and strong organizational skills to lead complex initiatives in life sciences, healthcare, and data-driven services.

The successful candidate will coordinate with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, and Operations to align

Qualifications

At least 7 years of industry experience in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field.
Experience in roles requiring scientific judgment, strategic problem-solving, and leadership of complex initiatives across scientific, technical, commercial, and operations functions.

Responsibilities

Define annual and quarterly priorities for the Science Team with CSO and leadership.
Translate strategic priorities into clear plans, milestones, ownership and measures of success.
Lead the Science Leadership Team effectiveness and operations.
Prepare presentations and decision documents for the CSO and leadership.
Coordinate with Finance and Commercial leaders on pipelines and capacity models.
Identify risks and dependencies requiring leadership attention.
