Job summary

Acosta is seeking a Director of Business Insights to deliver strategic, data-driven insights supporting Walmart and Sam’s Club sales objectives. This role acts as a SME in retail data, leveraging syndicated and internal sources to inform business strategies and presentations.

You will build client relationships, coach team members, and stay current on market trends. The position is hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• Curious about drivers of business performance with a track record of leveraging data to influence actions.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex data clearly.
• Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable with change and ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with business managers and clients to develop strategic plans for assigned customers.
• Develop and present strategic, data-driven sales presentations to drive increased sales with Acosta Group and Client.
• Serve as subject matter expert in data sources (syndicated POS, Panel data, loyalty data, internal data) to inform strategic discussions.
• Manage and develop insights and reporting for multiple clients across categories.
• Develop and share best practices; create templates to standardize analyses across the sales team.
• Mentor and train one analyst on the Business Insights team; guide daily activities.
• Stay current with client, customer, and consumer trends.
