Job summary

gpac is seeking a qualified Operations Director to oversee the Production/Restoration division in Austin. You will manage day-to-day activities, drive efficiency, and ensure top-tier customer satisfaction while aligning with strategic objectives.

You will lead restoration staff, develop talent, monitor KPIs, and implement QA procedures to maintain high standards. Occasional field visits, extended hours, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business operations, with at least 3 years of management experience.
• Experience in restoration, mitigation, cleaning, construction, or related industries preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production/restoration teams.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience overseeing day-to-day operations, staff performance, operational efficiency, and quality assurance.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes, increase productivity, and support revenue and profit growth.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with ownership, management, employees, and vendors.
• Ability to develop and implement operational procedures, quality control standards, and performance metrics.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and proper maintenance of facilities, vehicles, equipment, and supplies.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• Industry certifications strongly preferred.
• Willingness to participate in field visits and jobsite management as needed.
• Ability to work extended hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, based on operational demands.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day operations of the Production/Restoration division, ensuring operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
• Lead, motivate, and support restoration staff while developing team members' technical skills, leadership abilities, and professional growth.
• Work closely with the Owner and General Manager to establish and execute strategic and operational objectives.
• Monitor operational performance, revenue growth, profitability, productivity, and key performance indicators.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures to ensure exceptional customer and client experiences.
• Maintain consistent communication with management, employees, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Evaluate existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, productivity, and organizational capacity.
• Establish and oversee protocols for the maintenance, organization, and proper use of facilities, vehicles, equipment, and consumable supplies.
• Monitor team performance, operational outcomes, and departmental goals, regularly reviewing results with the Owner and General Manager.
• Ensure restoration operations comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
• Support the development of management systems, operational standards, and best practices across the restoration division.
• Provide field leadership and oversight through jobsite visits to ensure work quality, safety, and adherence to company standards
