Job summary

Montgomery County Recreation is seeking a Division Chief (Manager II) to provide strategic leadership for a broad portfolio of programs including Classes, Camps, Sports, Therapeutic Recreation, 55+ Programs and Youth Development.

The ideal candidate will have significant public-sector leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to align programs with community needs, manage budgets, and build collaborative partnerships across the county.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading recreation programs, community services, or similar portfolio.
• Track record of strategic leadership, organizational management, and program innovation.
• Ability to assess complex information, set priorities, and make data-informed recommendations.
• Strong financial and resource management, including budgeting experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
