Job summary

OnePulse seeks a VP of Research & Development to lead the R&D organization for its healthcare software portfolio, creating a consistent technology strategy and driving engineering execution, quality, and reliability across distributed teams.

The role partners with Product to translate market priorities into actionable technical plans, with emphasis on AI-enabled processes and governance, while building leadership, workforce planning, and succession across multiple product lines.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience managing large, distributed teams across products.
• Ability to translate market priorities into executable technical plans.
• Experience applying AI to improve engineering productivity and product quality.
• Willingness to travel 10% annually for customer, leadership, and planning sessions.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a portfolio level technology strategy across multiple products.
• Partner with senior leadership to align roadmaps with market priorities and capacity plans.
• Provide technical and architectural leadership across varied stacks and environments.
• Own engineering execution including delivery, releases, and incident learning.
• Establish engineering standards and governance while allowing product-specific flexibility.
• Develop a modernization approach focused on customer value and business continuity.
• Re-think the SDLC for an AI-enabled environment with governance and guardrails.
• Lead and develop a geographically distributed R&D organization.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and vendor decisions to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate across Product, Customer Success, Security, Sales, Finance, and other teams.
