Job summary

OnePulse, a Harris Computer portfolio, seeks a visionary VP, Research & Development to lead the R&D organization across its eight-plus healthcare software products. You will shape technology strategy, drive engineering excellence, and oversee hiring, performance, and governance for a distributed team in the United States.

You will partner with Product to translate market needs into executable roadmaps, steer AI-enabled modernization, and ensure security and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with healthcare interoperability, clinical data, EHR, or related software domains.
• 8+ years in a leadership role in healthcare software.
• 5 years modernizing acquired or mature software while maintaining commitments.
• 1-3 years integrating acquired products, teams or platforms.
• 1-3 years creating shared engineering capabilities across product lines.
• Experience applying AI to improve engineering productivity and quality.
• Ability to travel about 10% annually.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a portfolio level technology strategy across more than eight products.
• Translate product priorities into realistic technical roadmaps and investments.
• Provide technical and architectural leadership across varied tech stacks.
• Own engineering execution including planning, releases, quality and reliability.
• Establish engineering standards and governance with necessary flexibility.
• Develop a pragmatic modernization approach focused on value and risk.
• Rethink SDLC for AI-enabled development, testing, and operations.
• Establish AI guardrails for security, privacy, data handling and compliance.
• Lead and develop a geographically dispersed R&D organization.
• Own budgets, forecasts, workforce plans, and vendor decisions.
• Collaborate across Product, Customer Success, Support, Security and Finance.
• Act as senior escalation point for R&D issues to executive leadership.
