OnePulse is seeking a visionary VP of Research & Development to lead our healthcare software portfolio. This role shapes technology strategy, drives engineering execution, quality, reliability, and operations across distributed teams with a focus on AI-enabled innovation.

You will partner with Product to translate market priorities into actionable roadmaps, manage budgets and hiring, and ensure delivery that meets customer commitments and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare software domains.
• 8+ years in a leadership role in healthcare software.
• 5 years modernizing acquired or mature software products.
• 1-3 years integrating acquired products, teams, processes, or technology platforms.
• 1-3 years creating shared engineering capabilities across product lines.
• Experience applying AI to improve engineering productivity, software quality, or delivery efficiency.
• Ability to travel 10% annually for customer meetings, industry trainings, and Leadership planning sessions.

Responsabilités

• Create and maintain a portfolio level technology strategy across more than eight products.
• Partner with business leaders to translate product priorities into technical roadmaps, capacity plans, sequencing, and investment recommendations.
• Provide technical and architectural leadership across varied tech stacks and environments.
• Own engineering execution: planning, delivery, release management, quality engineering, and incident learning.
• Establish engineering standards and governance with flexibility for each product environment.
• Develop a modernization approach grounded in customer value and business viability.
• Rethink the SDLC for an AI-enabled environment with AI across development, testing, and operations.
• Establish AI guardrails for security, privacy, data handling, and governance.
• Lead a geographically dispersed R&D organization across products and time zones.
• Own R&D budgets, forecasts, workforce plans, vendor decisions, and investment tradeoffs.
• Collaborate across Product, Customer Success, Support, and other teams to improve outcomes.
• Act as senior escalation point and communicate decisions to executive leadership.
• Travel as required.
