Job summary

OnePulse is seeking a VP of Research & Development to lead the R&D organization for its healthcare software portfolio. You will craft a cohesive technology strategy across multiple products, partner with Product to translate priorities into executable plans, and guide geographically distributed teams in AI-enabled development and operational excellence.

The role emphasizes strong technical judgment, business acumen, and the ability to drive modernization while maintaining customer commitments

Qualifications

5+ years in healthcare interoperability, clinical data, EHR, or related software domains.
8+ years in a leadership role within healthcare software.
5 years modernizing acquired or mature software while maintaining customer commitments.
1-3 years integrating acquired products, teams, or platforms.
Experience creating shared engineering capabilities across product lines.
Experience applying AI to improve engineering productivity and quality.
Travel willingness around 10% annually for leadership activities.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain a portfolio level technology strategy across >8 products.
Translate product priorities into realistic technical roadmaps and investments.
Provide technical and architectural leadership across varied stacks and environments.
Own engineering execution including planning, delivery, and release management.
Establish engineering standards and governance with domain flexibility.
Develop a modernization approach focused on customer value and continuity.
Rethink SDLC for an AI-enabled environment with governance and human review.
Lead and develop a geographically dispersed R&D organization.
Own budgets, forecasts, and vendor decisions, aligning tech with outcomes.
Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, Security, Sales, Finance, and more.
Act as senior escalation point and communicate risks and timing clearly.
