Job summary

OnePulse, a Harris Computer healthcare software portfolio, seeks a visionary VP of Research & Development to lead a geographically dispersed R&D organization. The role shapes technology strategy, engineering execution, quality, and operations while aligning with product priorities and AI-enabled transformation.

The executive partners with Product to translate market needs into executable plans, designs, and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading healthcare software or interoperability programs.
• 8+ years in a leadership role within healthcare software.
• 5 years modernizing acquired or mature software while preserving customer commitments.
• 1-3 years integrating acquired products, teams, or technology platforms.
• 1-3 years creating shared engineering capabilities across product lines.
• Experience applying AI to improve engineering productivity, quality, or delivery.
• Ability to travel 10% annually for meetings and planning sessions.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain portfolio level technology strategy across >8 products.
• Translate product priorities into realistic technical roadmaps and investments.
• Provide technical and architectural leadership across diverse stacks and environments.
• Own engineering execution: planning, delivery, release management, and reliability.
• Establish engineering standards and governance with flexibility for different environments.
• Develop a modernization approach grounded in customer value and business continuity.
• Rethink SDLC for an AI-enabled environment with governance and guardrails.
• Lead a geographically dispersed R&D organization with clear accountability.
• Manage R&D budgets, forecasts, and vendor decisions for business impact.
• Collaborate with Product, CS, Support, and other teams to improve execution.
