Job summary

Seneca Holdings is seeking a Director of Project Controls to lead the project controls team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, and schedule management across programs. The role partners with business units, project managers, and finance to drive strategy, develop SOPs, and improve performance, with hybrid or remote work and occasional travel.

Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's in Business and 12+ years in finance or operations for a Federal Government Contractor, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Business or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in finance or business operations for a Federal Government Contractor.
• Experience with Performance Based Contracts and IDIQ vehicles (FFP, T&M, CPFF).
• Strong knowledge of FAR and Cost Accounting.
• Proficient in Deltek Costpoint, especially the Projects module, with billing/revenue understanding.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; ability to communicate with senior leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct project controls team to ensure productivity and adequate support for project operations.
• Develop and implement SOPs for company-wide project controls and internal controls.
• Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to the department and interfacing functions.
• Lead in project reporting, cost variance analysis, unbilled analysis, planning/scheduling and Schedule status.
• Monitor contract cost performance and ensure compliance with funding and contractual agreements.
• Collaborate with other functions to align strategy, budgets, schedules and quality.
• Prepare management information to aid strategic planning and decision making.
• Ensure GAAP and government statute compliance in project reporting.
