Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Director of Product Design for the Conversational Platform within the Experience Design organization in McLean, VA. The role leads a cross-functional team of designers, researchers and engineers, shaping strategy and delivering high-impact, customer-centric design across product and service experiences.

The ideal candidate has extensive leadership experience in product design, strong communication with executive stakeholders, and a deep understanding of design

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in leading product design teams and delivering products to market.
• At least 3 years managing managers.
• Experience interfacing with executive leadership to influence decisions and drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-disciplinary team of design leaders and designers and collaborate with research, product and tech leadership.
• Identify high-leverage opportunities with executive stakeholders and drive high-impact projects.
• Oversee tools, platforms, frameworks and design systems to help the team deliver artifacts such as journey maps and prototypes.
• Present work to executive leaders and translate user insights into strategic directions.
