Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a Director of Preconstruction Management in the United States to lead the end-to-end preconstruction and EPC contracting process for large-scale renewable projects. You will manage the contracting strategy, coordinate cross-functional teams and report progress to executive leadership.

The role requires a proven ability to negotiate complex EPC contracts >$100MM, drive risk assessments and protect project margins, and to mentor a high-performing team across engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, pre-law, construction management, estimating, civil, mechanical or electrical engineering, architecture or a related field.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary managers and teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead negotiation and execution of utility-scale renewable energy EPC contracts in excess of $100MM.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project management control systems, including scheduling, estimating, cost control, procurement, contract administration and change management.
• Field construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Preconstruction Management team, developing, training and implementing standardized tools and processes to manage contracting and preconstruction progress.
• Establish post-award contracting strategy and oversee the EPC agreement from award through execution.
• Coordinate legal, commercial, technical, estimating, scheduling, procurement and operations resources to resolve open contract issues and maintain progress.
• Track terms, assumptions, approvals, exclusions and open items; provide clear status reporting to leadership.
• Identify risks and opportunities; drive mitigation plans to maintain or improve margin and risk profile.
• Maintain change management to capture customer-driven and internal changes and adjust contracts accordingly.
• Ensure a seamless handover to Project Delivery, including contract requirements, risks, changes and ownership.
