Job summary

CoVolt Power seeks a Director of Preconstruction Management to drive initiatives from award through EPC handover, balancing margin and customer interests. You will lead a cross-functional team, set contracting strategy, manage preconstruction deliverables, and report progress to executive leadership.

A strong background in EPC contracts for utility-scale renewables and proven leadership in risk management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, pre-law, construction management, estimating, civil, mechanical or electrical engineering, architecture or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary managers and teams
• Demonstrated ability to lead negotiation and execution of utility-scale renewable energy EPC contracts in excess of $100MM
• Knowledge of project management controls: scheduling, estimating, cost control, procurement, contract administration and change management
• Field construction experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead a Preconstruction Management team and develop standardized tools/processes to manage contracting and preconstruction progress
• Establish post-award contracting strategy and drive the EPC agreement from award through execution
• Coordinate resources across legal, commercial, technical, estimating, scheduling, procurement and operations
• Track key terms, open items and changes; provide status reporting to leadership
• Identify risks and opportunities to protect or improve project margin and risk profile
• Ensure complete handover to Project Delivery with all contract requirements and ownership defined
