Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior VP Platform Engineering to lead a broad platform org spanning backend, frontend, DevOps, architecture, AI tooling, and security. You will set strategy, own the execution, and remove friction for product teams to ship faster with higher quality.

You will mentor ~20 engineers and 4 managers, align priorities with Product leadership, and drive architectural direction across multiple teams while fostering growth and curiosity about AI applications

Qualifications

• You've led platform or infrastructure engineering at scale, with 12+ years in engineering and 5+ years leading other leaders.
• You've built or matured an internal developer platform that engineers have adopted by choice.
• You're deeply versed in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, reliability, and cost management.
• You've set architectural direction across multiple teams and made it stick.
• You can reason about AI and LLM platform needs: gateways, evals, observability, and safety tooling.
• You come from a background of fast-scaling SaaS product companies.
• You stay curious about AI and experiment with it in how teams work.
• You hire well, set clear standards, and give teams room to own their work.
• You’re fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~20 engineers and 4 managers across platform domains.
• Set platform technology strategy and own its execution.
• Remove friction so product teams ship more with higher quality.
• Mentor engineers and managers and support their career development.
• Collaborate with CPO/CPTO and Product leadership to align platform investments.
• Own Internal Developer Platform and AI tooling roadmap.
