Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead our Web Applications Platform, owning shared services including auth, and guiding architectural decisions across multiple applications. You will shape direction, write code, and collaborate with stakeholders and other engineers.

The role emphasizes AI tooling standards, secure and compliant deployments, and a cross‑team impact on product outcomes. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production software.
• Experience on platform, infrastructure, internal tools, or developer-facing team.
• Strong Python, Django, and FastAPI skills.
• Depth in Kubernetes and GitOps delivery (Helm, ArgoCD).
• Experience owning an authentication/authorization system.
• Excellent project management skills: breaking down, estimating, sequencing, and communicating about work in progress.
• Clear written and verbal communication; influential beyond one team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for the Web Applications Platform team and own the roadmap with stakeholders.
• Write code or configurations as needed and drive cross‑team architectural decisions.
• Define standards for AI coding tool use and ensure guardrails for security and compliance.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with an engineering manager on team health and career growth.
