Job summary

Denison University’s Michael D. Eisner Center seeks a Production Manager to lead planning for four theatres and about 60 concerts per year across five spaces.

You will establish calendars, oversee budgets, supervise senior staff, and coordinate with faculty and guest artists to deliver safe, on-time performances while supporting artistic vision. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Technical Theater or related field and 3–5 years in production management, with supervisory experience;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and significant experience in Technical Theater, Stage Management, or Production Management.
• 3-5 years of experience in technical production or management in professional or academic theatre.
• 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership role.
• Master’s degree in Technical Theater, Stage Management, or Production Management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production planning process for the Eisner Center and academic departments.
• Establish production calendars and lead production meetings.
• Manage production and technical budgets; plan capital expenditures.
• Supervise Technical Director of Stage Operations, Technical Director of Production, and Costume Shop Supervisor.
• Develop detailed production schedules and coordinate load-ins, rehearsals, and performance days.
• Advance guest artists and ensure excellent performance experiences within available resources.
