Job summary

The Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC) in New York, NY is seeking a full-time Production Manager to lead production planning, budgeting, scheduling and coordination across theatre, dance, music and installations.

Reporting to the Director of Production, you’ll supervise multiple departments, ensure safety, and drive projects on time and within budget while advancing inclusive, anti-racist practices in a dynamic, world-class facility.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in production management.
• Union personnel management experience.
• Professional experience in New York City and/or collaboration with NYC institutions.
• Experience creating operating paradigms for a new facility, organization or performance space.
• Proven leadership with team-building, problem solving, negotiation and mediation skills.
• Excellent communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to anti-racism, inclusion, equity and accessibility.
• Ability to read and interpret light plots and related technical documents.
• Strong budgeting and scheduling skills.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends for performances and events.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, develop and implement all aspects of the production process.
• Supervise staff for all programming and events to meet creative vision on schedule and on budget.
• Coordinate production work with staff to meet needs of productions and performances.
• Assist in scheduling and logistics for PAC spaces.
• Assist in creating and developing production budgets and schedules.
• Advance productions and review contracts and riders for efficient use of resources.
• Support rental events and collaborations with external teams.
• Arrange production transportation and load-in logistics as required.
• Collaborate with artists, designers and producers to realize high-quality work.
• Assist in budgeting and reforecasting across fiscal year.
