Job summary

University of Chicago’s Department of Music is seeking a Manager of Performance Program Operations to oversee production and logistics for over 100 concerts and events each year. You will liaise with PP Directors, venue partners, and campus collaborators to ensure smooth operations and scheduling for performances and related initiatives.

You will manage the annual audition period, lesson award auditions, and the Concerto Competition, while coordinating staff, training, and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Experience in operations management for music events or performing arts.
• Strong budgeting, vendor negotiation, and contract handling.
• Proven ability to manage calendars, staffing, and venues.

• Co‑manage a part‑time operations assistant and supervise student staff.
