Job summary

Temple College seeks a dynamic Technical Director to lead production operations for the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center, a premier cultural hub on campus. This role oversees technical execution for institutional concerts, theatre, and campus events, collaborating with faculty, supporting students, and coordinating with guest artists.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Relevant experience in technical, performing arts productions and operations.

Responsibilities

• Production Management: Coordinate and oversee all technical production aspects of performances, rehearsals, events, load-ins, strikes, and changeovers.
• Collaboration & Support: Partner with faculty, directors, guest artists, and rental clients to determine production needs and provide technical support.
• Stage & Backstage Operations: Plan, supervise, and execute stage setup, lighting, sound, rigging, and backstage operations with a safe workshop environment.
• Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Oversee maintenance, inspections, and repair of equipment and systems, coordinating with outside services as needed.
• Team Supervision: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise student workers, stage crews, and freelance technicians.
• Administration & Logistics: Manage PAC master schedule, maintain equipment inventories, and procure upgrades.
