Job summary

Barton Community College seeks a creative Technical Theatre Director to join the Fine & Performing Arts Department. You will oversee technical and back-of-house operations for the Barton Fine Arts Auditorium, directing mainstage productions and other college events.

The role involves set construction, lighting, and audio design while ensuring safety procedures are followed throughout the event production process. Evening and weekend hours are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months to two years of similar experience.
• Two-year degree or completion of specialized courses in technical theatre and/or event management.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate with theatre, dance, and music departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical and back of house operations for the Barton Fine Arts Auditorium, including technical direction of mainstage productions and other college events.
• Facilitate set construction, lighting, and audio design while ensuring safety procedures during production.
