Ladders in San Francisco, CA seeks a Head of People Technology to define the people tech strategy and lead the systems roadmap for a growing global organization.

You will partner with HR, IT and business leaders to improve scalability, data integrity, and efficiency through hands-on configuration, integrations, and release management, translating complex needs into practical solutions for growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of HRIS experience, primarily with Workday.
• Hands-on implementation and configuration with new Workday modules.
• Proven ability to build and manage integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and APIs.
• Experience scaling HR systems for international organizations.
• Background in both consulting and in-house roles at large and high-growth companies.
• Leadership experience managing teams, including remote/offshore members.
• Strong configuration skills for strategic discussions with senior leaders.
• Workday Pro certifications are a plus.

For our client, we are seeking a Head of People Technology to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.

This role will define the people technology strategy and lead the systems roadmap supporting a growing, global organization. You will partner closely with HR, IT, and business leaders to improve scalability, data integrity, and operational efficiency across core HR processes. The position is highly hands-on and will combine strategic planning with configuration, integration, and release management work. It is an excellent opportunity for a leader who can translate complex systems needs into practical solutions that support growth.

Location: San Francisco, CA

Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Set the HR technology strategy and own the systems roadmap
• Design and deliver new capabilities to support global scaling
• Optimize existing systems by auditing and closing configuration gaps
• Architect and maintain integrations between the HR system and other enterprise systems
• Configure business processes, security, and reporting
• Lead and manage a team of configuration analysts and integration support staff
• Oversee release management, data integrity, and evaluation of new AI capabilities for efficiency

Qualifications

• 8+ years of HRIS experience, primarily with Workday
• Hands-on implementation and configuration experience with new Workday modules
• Proven ability to build and manage integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and APIs
• Experience scaling HR systems for companies transitioning from hundreds to thousands of employees, ideally internationally
• Background in both implementation consulting and in-house roles at large and high-growth organizations
• Leadership experience managing teams, including remote or offshore members
• Strong configuration skills with the ability to engage in strategic discussions with senior leaders
• Workday Pro certifications are a plus
