Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or experience.
• 7+ years of experience with Workday HCM or similar HRIS at advanced configuration level.
• Experience with a new Workday HCM implementation or major re-engineering preferred.
• Experience across HCM, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll and reporting.
• HR certification (SHRM/PHR) preferred but not required.
• PM certification (PMP/CAPM) a plus but not required.
• Experience in education or nonprofit environment is a plus.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Workday Analyst, HRIS to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space.

This role will own the configuration, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of the organization’s HRIS environment, with a strong focus on HR technology support and process improvement. The position partners closely with HR, Finance, IT, and Business Systems stakeholders to ensure the platform supports efficient operations and reliable data flow across the enterprise. The successful candidate will also help guide testing, troubleshooting, and integration work while translating technical concepts for non-technical users and supporting broader HR functional needs.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $120,000 – $125,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and configure the HRIS platform, ensuring continuous optimization
• Lead feature updates and functionality testing, providing troubleshooting support to Payroll and Finance teams
• Mentor HRIS support staff, advising on best practices and troubleshooting techniques
• Build and maintain complex integrations within the HCM domain, adhering to security standards
• Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and HRIS support staff
• Facilitate consensus-building among HR, IT, and Business Systems stakeholders to align on shared solutions
• Serve as an escalation point for complex issues affecting system functionality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience with Workday HCM or a similar enterprise HRIS platform at an advanced configuration level
• Experience with a new Workday HCM implementation or significant re-engineering of an existing tenant is preferred
• Demonstrated experience across multiple HR functional areas including HCM, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, and reporting
• HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR is preferred but not required
• Project Management certification such as PMP or CAPM is a plus but not required
• Experience in an education or nonprofit environment is a plus
