Job summary

Ascend is seeking a Head of People to support one of our local partner firms to develop and lead talent programs that attract and retain a team of highly engaged professionals who will serve as the Firm’s future leaders.

This position will oversee all People / Human Resources and administrative operations, including talent acquisition, talent engagement / employee relations, performance management, and learning & development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent leadership and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise leadership on strategic human capital needs for the business.
• Develop a data- and research-informed human capital strategy aligned with the Firm’s plan.
• Understand talent needs and refresh outcomes to support business.
• Collaborate with leaders to deploy talent attraction & retention, development, and integrations of acquisitions.
• Leverage compensation data to develop standardized pay scales for market competitiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement and address talent risks and regulatory changes.
• Oversee People operations delivering benefits enrollment, payroll, and employee services.
• Lead internal communications on People matters and KPI monitoring.
