Job summary

LangChain is scaling rapidly and seeks a Head of People Operations to own the People Ops function end-to-end. You’ll architect and run the infrastructure every employee relies on, report to the VP of People, and build a small team of ops coordinators as we grow.

Location options include San Francisco, New York, or remote. The role requires 8+ years in People Ops, deep Rippling experience, global employment expertise, and a track record building automations and policy governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in People Ops or HR Operations.
• Hands-on Rippling experience.
• Global employment experience across multiple regions.
• Built automations and workflows.
• Strong working knowledge of California employment law and multi-state compliance.
• Policy and handbook governance experience.
• AI tool fluency and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own People Ops end-to-end, including HRIS, benefits, leave and onboarding.
• Build and maintain LangChain's compliance layer across states and global employment.
• Own Rippling as the system of record and workflow configurations.
• Lead global employment operations across US, UK, EU, and beyond.
• Architect and govern People policies and the employee handbook.
• Build People Ops automations and workflows.
• Own employee relations and accommodations.
• Contribute to People data, reporting, and analytics.
• Evaluate AI tools used in People Ops and ensure governance.
• Support SOC2 and audit readiness.
• Build and lead a small People Ops team.
