Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Senior Director of Software Engineering to set the technology strategy for payments digital channels and to partner with product, design, risk, and cybersecurity leaders. You will drive modern, scalable platforms, ensure resiliency, and raise engineering excellence while balancing speed and controls.

You will lead multi-year roadmaps, advance cloud-native and microservices adoption, and build high-performing teams that align with regulatory and governance requirements

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage complex technical items.
• Experience delivering mission-critical financial platforms, including payments and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud-native apps, microservices, APIs, event-driven design, and container platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering organization for payments digital channels with a multi-year roadmap.
• Drive platform modernization using cloud-native architecture and microservices.
• Own end-to-end engineering delivery ensuring availability, performance, and production readiness.
• Translate business outcomes into technology roadmaps and measurable milestones.
• Develop senior engineering leaders and foster inclusion, accountability, and growth.
• Ensure security, regulatory compliance, data governance, and risk management.
• Influence enterprise architecture for scalable global growth across lines of business.
• Set and scale AGI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation standards; establish guardrails.
• Apply SDLC tools including AI-assisted development to drive cross-domain reuse.
