Job summary

Near is seeking a hands-on Head of Operations to own day-to-day operations across demand forecasting, inventory planning, and overseas manufacturing. You will lead freight, 3PL management, and customer fulfillment while reporting to the co-founders and steering a small team.

The role requires 7–15 years in operations, hands-on international manufacturing experience, and a strong analytical mindset to optimize costs and service levels.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of experience in operations and supply chain.
• Hands-on overseas manufacturing experience (Asia/DR) and managing freight/3PLs.
• Strong analytical skills with forecasting & inventory modelling.

Responsibilities

• Own demand forecasting and inventory planning across channels.
• Manage production schedules and POs with overseas manufacturers.
• Oversee inbound logistics from Asia to US/Canada, resolve shipment issues.
• Manage outsourced warehouses (3PLs) and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Oversee distributor and e-commerce order fulfillment and protect customer relationships.
• Lead and develop a small team with clear processes and accountability.
• Build and maintain operational systems and reporting used by founders.
