Job summary

American Airlines seeks a Managing Director of Operations Insights and Analytics to provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction to a team of operations performance analysts, industrial engineers, and advanced analytics professionals, driving operational reliability.

You will lead the Operations Data Strategy and Product teams to deliver critical data assets and analytics, partnering with Operations leadership to drive measurable performance improvements and cultivate future leaders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 10 years of progressive leadership experience.
• Experience managing large, complex multi-divisional projects.
• In-depth knowledge of the airline industry, AA policies and procedures.
• Proven success in leading performance and analytics teams and implementing analytics-driven improvements.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational performance improvements across the Operations team.
• Lead analytics teams across Airport, Baggage, IOC, Schedule & Block, Airspace and others.
• Conduct in-depth studies of operations to produce root-cause diagnostics and actionable insights.
• Develop advanced analytical engines/tools for operations performance improvements.
• Lead the AI data strategy for Operations by developing tools to gain quicker insights.
• Manage the team to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Lead Operations data strategy and resource allocation across Operations.
