Job summary

Republic Services seeks a Director of Operations Analytics to lead Data Science, Analytics Engineering, and BI teams supporting Collection Operations, Safety, Fleet, and Environmental Solutions. You will define and execute the analytics roadmap, drive volume forecasting, staffing, route planning, and coaching insights through production models and reporting solutions used by field leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud data platforms and Snowflake preferred.
• Strong data science, statistics, forecasting, and optimization background.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL with analytics engineering know-how.
• Extensive enterprise BI experience: dataset design, governance, release management.
• Geospatial analytics, GPS/telematics, routing optimization familiarity.
• Practical use of generative AI in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Operations Analytics organization, roadmap, and product portfolio (data science, BI, analytics).
• Partner with Operations leadership to translate results into business terms for executives.
• Direct modeling, evaluation, and monitoring to maintain accuracy and drift control.
• Develop best practices for ML Ops, analytics lifecycle, and BI dashboards.
