Republic Services seeks a Data Scientist I to drive internal data analytics projects and collaborate with executives to deliver data-driven solutions. You will develop descriptive analyses and ML/AI models, communicating complex concepts clearly to business leaders and guiding decisions with data-based recommendations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an analytical field.
• 2 years of statistics and multivariate techniques experience.
• 1 year programming in R or Python.
• 2 years relational database and reporting experience with SQL.
• Experience with pricing, CLV, or churn modeling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build statistical and ML models to understand trends and predict performance.
• Participate in end-to-end data science lifecycle from data mining to deployment.
• Perform time-series analyses, hypothesis testing, and causal analyses.
• Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Design experiments and interpret results for actionable conclusions.
• Document requirements for data science and reporting projects.
• Design, validate, and evaluate solutions using R, Python, SQL and related tools.
