Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking an Onboarding Leader within the Human Resources domain to provide strategic oversight of onboarding programs and staff. You will align the function with organizational priorities, ensure compliant processes, and drive efficiency.

You will balance strategic guidance with hands-on execution, lead talent acquisition initiatives related to onboarding, and partner with HR, hiring departments, and legal to optimize the employee experience.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of onboarding compliance requirements and employment laws.
• Experience translating changes in policy into practical procedures.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performance onboarding team.
• Strong budgeting, staffing, and performance data driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding strategy and oversee all onboarding programs and personnel.
• Set governance, standards, and process improvements for onboarding operations.
• Translate federal/state policy changes into updated procedures.
• Advise leadership on onboarding impacts to employee experience and efficiency.
• Develop team through coaching, performance expectations, and accountability.
• Oversee talent acquisition programs related to onboarding and ensure diversity and compliance.
