Job summary

Palm Tree Club, located in Kansas City’s Power & Light District, seeks a General Manager to oversee daily operations and uphold the venue’s vibrant, upscale environment.

Responsibilities include managing staff, vendor contracts, and financial disclosures; driving guest satisfaction while ensuring safety and compliance. The role requires leadership, English fluency, and a passion for high-end hospitality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 4 year college degree or equivalent with coursework in restaurant management preferred.
• At least 5 years' experience in restaurant/nightclub management; multi-unit management a plus.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.
• Good people management, communication and listening skills.
• Proven ability to lead a team and communicate in writing and verbally.
• Flexible and adaptable to change; strong time management and organizational skills.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays; at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Control the day-to-day operations of the venue within company policies.
• Maintain a professional image, including cleanliness, uniforms, and appearance standards.
• Manage service contracts with outside vendors and third-party entertainment vendors.
• Prepare Ops Statements and financial disclosures and take appropriate actions.
• Control Profit & Loss by managing cash, inventory, labor, and stock of liquor and other products.
• Ensure deposits are made, safe counts are conducted, and cash is secured.
• Oversee inventory counts, cost of goods sold, and nightly financial summaries.
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, supervise, and motivate management staff.
