Job summary

Palm Tree Club in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a General Manager to oversee daily operations, uphold a premier customer experience, and drive profitability. You will manage staff, vendors, and financials, ensuring exceptional service and a vibrant nightlife atmosphere.

The role requires strong leadership, a background in restaurant/nightclub management, and a passion for teaching and improving team performance. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred in restaurant management.
• At least 5 years of restaurant/nightclub management experience; multi-unit a plus.
• Fluent English required; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day venue operations following company policies and guidelines.
• Maintain professional venue image including cleanliness, uniforms, and appearance standards.
• Manage service contracts with outside vendors and third-party entertainment.
• Prepare operations statements and financial disclosures and take corrective actions as needed.
• Control cash handling, inventory, labor, and financial reporting to protect venue profits.
• Ensure deposits are made, cash secure, and cash handling processes are accurate.
• Oversee inventory counts, cost of goods sold, and nightly reports.
• Address customer service needs to uphold high service standards.
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and supervise staff; discipline when necessary.
• Ensure staff training and safety; provide a safe guest and working environment.
• Represent the venue professionally to the community, businesses, and media.
